Scavenger Hunt Sunday: Oct.14, 2012

It's been so long since I've done a photo scavenger hunt!  I was so excited that I didn't realize until today that I've been working on last week's list! Because of that I can't link up, but I'll still post my pics and get to work on this week's list...

Care to join me?

Water Drops or Water Flowing
It rained the first day I began working on the list.  These are the wind chimes outside my entry door.

Faithfulness
A little odd for Faithfulness, I'll agree. But these little birdies are here each morning, faithfully greeting the people entering and leaving the shopping center of which this sign marks.  This is a big sign, and the birds sit way up.  I wonder how many people have even noticed them?

Then and Now
Again, I'm taking a little bit of liberty with the topic.  This image captures the BB&T Financial center on the left, and 100 North Main Street (formerly the Wachovia center, now also known as the Wells Fargo Center). Both BB&T and Wachovia banks were founded in Winston-Salem, NC and their roots run strong.  BB&T was founded in 1872, and Wachovia in 1879.

Fingertips
Taken from my archives, I think this is before she realized how to make a ♥ with her hands.

One Item from the Fall Bucket List: Bake Cookies
We spent Sunday afternoon baking, frosting and sprinkling sugar cookies.  Yum!

See you on Sunday!

Skywatch: BB&T Financial and Wells Fargo Centers, Downtown Winston-Salem, NC

I love this shot I got of the BB&T Financial and Wells Fargo Centers in Downtown Winston-Salem. After a morning of heavy rains, the skies were fabulously Carolina blue with huge billowing white clouds.

Justice

Justice does not come from the outside. It comes from inner peace.

This photograph was captured at Mt. Gur Cemetary in Kernersville, NC.  You can read more about my visit  here.

Saturday with soulenergy

A Fresh Bouquet from our "Garden"

The birds are chirping,
the girls are next door planting watermelon with the neighbors,
and I'm inside clearing the cobwebs,
both literally and figuratively.
What better way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon with a 50/50 chance of rain in the forecast?
This day last year, my girls and I were beginning our search for a house.  This is them in front of the first house we looked at.  A year has brought us far from there, I wonder what this year brings?

My girls today, playing in our new backyard.  The days go long, the years go short.
 Enjoy your weekend!

New Design by soulenergy >> 18ga galvanized wire wrapped pendant necklace NEW!

First peek at my new pendant, a one-of-a-kind hand wrapped steel pendant, hip and artsy.
A fun necklace with swirls and steel, a perfect way to show your individuality.
Made with 18ga galavanized steel and glass beads.

I love how this came together.
It reminds me of the curves of a french horn.

Speaking of french horns, I played mine yesterday for the first time in a great many years.  It was an instrument I played for a long time, but has been sitting dormant for far too long.  Perhaps I was inspired by the flow of the music I made when I brought my instrument of the closet.

This is a pendant that cannot be duplicated.

I've got a couple more pendants to introduce... check back soon!

Welcoming Front Door? Or Way Off Base?

Sherwin-Williams has a very cool color visualizer!  You can upload your own photo, and try on different paint colors right away.  As you saw in the previous article, I'm thinking about the front door.  No, I don't think these are the "perfect" colors (although there is potential).

Now.  Mint Green.  Gotta Go.

I likey.  I like the door color and the surround.  Not so much the interior trim I selected.  I see possibilities here.

Oh yes, I really like this too.  Very different.  But just about right.  And my older daughter would very much like this pink front door!
The man of the house may have just over ruled the pink door.  We may agree on this.  Or maybe not.

On the right track?  Or completely off base?  What do you think?
